Unboxing [UK]: Highschool Of The Dead: Drifters of the Dead - OVA: Standalone (DVD)

Fan Service, Fan Service Everywhere.

Note that this post has been updated (4th June 2015) to reflect the new blog format and add additional notes to the release.

High School of the Dead may have been released for a while but now it's time to witness the Drifters of the Dead OVA special. Except there are a few problems, it's only 15 minutes long and there's no English dub included with this release. The reason being is because Sentai Filmworks didn't dub the episode until a few months later.

This OVA doesn't have any extra features but users can turn off the subtitles if they wish. That's all I can say about this release honestly, this is the ecchiest episode I currently own (it won't be for long with High School DxD coming soon) and don't expect it to be like the series itself.

Back details are misleading as they also mention English is included which isn't. No Special Features since this is just the OVA on its own for those who bought the original release (the version with all the characters on the cover and not the re-release with Rei).

FUN FACT: This OVA is the reason why the re-release is rated 18 instead of 15, ironically Episode 6 in the series had more 'sexualised nudity', not to mention uncut and still earned the 15 rating.

After their journey through the land of the undead, Komuro Takeshi and the rest of the high school gang come across an isolated island just off the coast of Tokonosu City. Having survived the apocalypse, a beach vacation seems well deserved and since zombies can't swim it's the perfect location to relax and soak up the sun... or is it?
