Random Topic: Round-Up of Summer 2015's Legal Anime UK Streaming List

The Summer season is now over and the Fall/Autumn season is just about to start fairly soon, so for this random topic I wanted to talk about the results of the legal streaming services and what titles they all picked up during the season. I know a lot about the UK so it's an easy discussion but I'm not going to cover North America or Australia because it's pretty tough trying to find out what's new on their side when I can't even access them.

Charlotte was one of the most popular titles of the Summer 2015 season, but it ended up with the same problems that plagued Angel Beats! Nevertheless it's available to watch legally on Crunchyroll for UK fans.

For some reason I can imagine Yuu representing Funimation while the girl represents the UK. Mainly because we get screwed over in the legal anime streaming business.

Industry News: Anime Limited Announcements from MCM Comic Con Glasgow 2015

While it's usually London that gets the main announcements, this weekend saw Anime Limited unveiling a whole bunch of new information, not only for Scotland Loves Anime 2015 but also new licenses!

The other UK distributors were not there for the panels so there's nothing new coming from them yet (Jerome has news to show at MCM London this October).

Random Topic: My Overall Thoughts/Reactions to Tokyo Games Show 2015 (Part 3)

One of the biggest gaming conventions this year has just ended and it's been one heck of a ride for many video game players. For this post I decided to continue discussing my overview thoughts and reactions to the games revealed and/or detailed at Tokyo Games Show 2015. In Parts 1 & 2 I focused on the games announced at Sony's CEJA conference, and for this final part I wanted to focus on the other games that were also shown off at the expo.

Unboxing [US]: Shakugan no Shana - Season 3 Part 2 (BD/DVD)

Shoutout to Robert's Anime Corner Store for not only having this set in stock but also getting it past customs by reducing the value. The set was relatively cheap but when it comes to USPS there was always a possibility of it getting caught so cheers! Shana returns for the final part of the anime saga (based on the light novels mind you).

Here's an overview of what the second half of Shana Season 3 has to offer.

Industry News: Section23 Films January 2016 Release Slate

As usual Sentai Filmworks teases their line-up with a couple of new license announcements but just today they have fully revealed their January 2016 release slate. This line-up includes one title re-released for the Sentai Selects line, one title coming to Blu-ray after a hold-back and dozens of new additions coming to Blu-ray and DVD. Maiden Japan even have one title coming out!

Here's the list of anime that Section23 Films have scheduled for the month of January 2016.

Random Topic: My Overall Thoughts/Reactions to Tokyo Games Show 2015 (Part 2)

One of the biggest gaming conventions this year has just ended and it's been one heck of a ride for many video game players. For this post I decided to continue discussing my overview thoughts and reactions to the games revealed and/or detailed at Tokyo Games Show 2015. In the first post I covered nearly half of the games announced at Sony's CEJA conference, and in this part I'll be covering more of them.

Industry News: Funimation December 2015 Release Slate

I know I'm a week late on this one but I figured I would hold off this post because Funimation have been on a wild rampage when it comes to their release schedules. Free! Eternal Summer and Tokyo Ghoul CE went on hiatus for unknown reasons while Noein got pushed back from November to January. And let's not forget that this slate was even leaked by Amazon Canada themselves, heh.
Here's the list of anime that Funimation have scheduled for the month of December 2015.

Random Topic: My Overall Thoughts/Reactions to Tokyo Games Show 2015 (Part 1)

One of the biggest gaming conventions this year has just ended and it's been one heck of a ride for many video game players. For this post I decided to discuss my overview thoughts and reactions to the games revealed and/or detailed at Tokyo Games Show 2015. If it helps I also watched Sony's Press Conference for Japan/Asia at 8 in the morning (this is UK time, for US fans that would be around 1-3 in the morning). Let's just say I found this conference to be as big as Sony's E3 2015 conference in terms of surprises and announcements.

Unboxing [US]: Michiko & Hatchin - Part 2 (BD/DVD)

Using whatever I had left, I decided to get some of the Part 2 sets that I had to get before it was too late. Michiko & Hatchin may still be in print but with a S.A.V.E. edition now around I doubt the part sets will last another 12 months, but nevertheless I managed to get a copy and here it is.

Here's an overview of the second half of Michiko & Hatchin.

Random Topic: Is Animax UK Worth It?

So with the site still continuing, I figured for this month I'll talk about another streaming service that's been a mixed bag in the UK anime community. Many fans in the Asian territories are happy to have a service like this, but does it have the same effect over here?

Industry News: Scotland Loves Anime 2015 line-up

If you live in the UK you may be familiar with this particular name. Scotland Loves Anime is a film festival dedicated to screening the latest (and in some occasions older) anime movies out there in Scotland; Glasgow and Edinburgh. The host for the festival is none other than Andrew Partridge who is also in charge of the UK anime distribution company Anime Limited. SLA always pops up during the Fall time each year and now this year's festival line-up has been revealed.

The festival's poster! Bringing back the same cast of characters for this year's festival.
