Unboxing [UK]: Highschool of the Dead - Complete Series: Original Release (Blu-ray)

Action + Zombies + Walking Tits, that's right it's High School of the Dead an anime made by Madhouse and created by the Sato brothers.

This standard Blu-ray copy is the complete first season containing all 12 episodes. Bare in mind that this was the original release and not the Drifters of the Dead edition which contains the OVA sub only on DVD. There are two discs with this release; disc 1 contains episodes 1 to 8 and disc 2 contains episodes 9 to 12 plus the textless opening and endings.

H.O.T.D. is a great series with a short episode span. The series conclusion is wide open for more content but that won't happen for a while due to the lack of progress done to the manga which has started to continue this year. Other than the main series, the OVA is also available to own on Blu-ray with both English and Japanese from Sentai Filmworks and on DVD subbed only from Manga Entertainment via United Publications if you don't import.

This version is the original standard UK release from Manga Entertainment before the 2013 re-release 'Drifters of the Dead Edition'.

The story is initially narrated through the eyes of Takashi Komuro, one of the students who had survived in the initial outbreak.
