Unboxing [US]: Appleseed - Film (Blu-ray)

Apologises for the delay, the almighty Customs/Tax delayed my packages. So here's the first Appleseed movie, which reboots the franchise from the OVA classic.

The Appleseed series has been given some rather intriguing reboots every now and then. Starting off with the original OVA from the old Anime days (Appleseed), the franchise then spawned two movies in CGI form (this movie and its sequel Ex Machina), then another reboot as a TV series (Appleseed XIII) which not long after was recapped as two movies (Appleseed XIII: Tarantos & Ouranos) and just recently another reboot arriving in 2014 (Appleseed Alpha). It's actually been quite a while since I bought something from Sentai Filmworks (and I do apologise for not getting Un-Go when I promised I would, I will get the title eventually) so having this film breaks the missing trend.

The reason I went for this particular release is the lack of Blu-ray in the UK and with this release including an English dub with the same cast as its sequel so it helps. This release doesn't work with the Sentai Bypass method since it's a relatively old title (it was released back in 2010). This Blu-ray copy contains the movie and lots of extras ranging from commentary to production staff profiles.
