Here's an overview/unboxing for the first season of Space Dandy from Funimation, in Limited Edition form.

Space Dandy is one of the two latest shows from director Shinichiro Watanabe (the other show he was involved with was Terror in Resonance (or Zankyou no Terror)) and was one of the biggest shows of 2014, most notably for being simulcast on Adult Swim with an English dub. Despite receiving low sales in Japan, the show was more popular in western areas and eventually got a second season (which will be released on Blu-ray in the summer of 2015).

The show was released in standard, limited and exclusive editions. The version I picked up was the Limited Edition which is what I generally get from Funimation, especially when the exclusive sets were not as appealing as Cowboy Bebop. All editions contain the complete first season (episodes 1 to 13) on Blu-ray and DVD with quite a ton of extras including some artcards that are inside the filler card for the limited and exclusive editions. The on disc extras include the likes of opening/closing animations and Funimation commentaries. The Blu-ray and DVD have unlockable subtitles and will work on UK and Australian Blu-ray players. The DVDs are locked to Region 1.

Space Dandy Season 1 is available on Blu-ray and DVD from Funimation. It's also available in Collector's Edition Blu-ray and DVD sets from Anime Limited for UK fans which includes an artbook and special packaging.
