Unboxing [JP]: Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd - Standard Edition (PS3)

So I waited a while after messing up my order on this game. I ended up with the Region 3 version and I didn't want to keep it. But now I got the version I wanted, at a relatively good price! Here's an overview of the latest Project DIVA title in the Hatsune Miku series.

Project DIVA F 2nd is the sequel to Project DIVA F and the latest instalment in the Project DIVA series that started off on PSP in Japan. Project DIVA F and F 2nd were just like any other title in the series, a rhythm game where you match what's on the screen by selecting the right button. It's similar to the other music games that have been released only you use a controller (or an arcade style one since Project DIVA is also available in the arcades in Japan, it's quite popular).

The game is entirely in Japanese but there are certain parts in English, making it one of the easier games to navigate for English players who like importing Japanese games (like myself). There are a good selection of songs to play in addition to a custom mode where you could make your own track and have Miku and her friends join in in the background. Like the first Project DIVA F title you can also hang out with the vocaloids by offering them gifts and pat them in the head.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd is also available in English by SEGA for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita after the demand and sales of the first game were successful. Unlike the first Project DIVA F game, it's also available in physical form for Europe, Australia and North America (the first game did receive a physical release but it was limited and only towards North American owners for PS3).
