Unboxing [UK]: Your Lie in April - Part 2: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

It may have taken a fair bit longer than usual, but they at least didn't lie in April about this release. No pun intended.

Your Lie in April (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) is a two-cour show from studio A-1 Pictures and based on a manga of the same name by Naoshi Arakawa. The story can be rather melodramatic at times but the music is pretty damn good. I know Aniplex added the show's OST for their sets but you can pick it up on its own without any hassle via Amazon Japan, same with the other OST that covers the music performances (called Boku to Kimi to no Ongakuchou). The show aired during the Autumn 2014 season.

You may be wondering why it has taken this long to release the second half of the show. Well there is no exact reason for it, but my assumption is because of the errors with the first release. If you haven't yet picked up the first part well you should be aware of this as well. When Part 2's artwork was revealed, a notice was sent out that Part 1's release will have a replacement scheme for every owner - the reason for this is that the case that holds the discs was too tight and many folks argued it was a big deal. To ensure that folks know the difference, the re-release will use a Pink info sleeve instead of Blue. This re-release is also the only way for Part 2 to fit into the box, as the first print run won't allow it. More information is available on the Anime Limited website.

The second half of Your Lie in April includes episodes 12-22 with English dub and original Japanese audio with unlockable English subtitles. On-disc content is pretty much the same as the Aniplex release while the discs have been authored by Madman from Australia. The Blu-rays are region locked to B.
