Unboxing [US]: One Punch Man - Complete Series: Limited Edition (BD/DVD)

It's been a while since I last picked up a Viz Media title, and since I recently acquired a new Blu-ray player I decided to go ahead and acquire the One Punch Man limited edition release that just got released.

One Punch Man is a 2015 series animated by Madhouse based on the manga of the same name from author ONE based on a web comic that he made prior. Long story short, the web comic didn't have the best drawings and eventually he collaborated with Eyeshield 21 designer Yusuke Muratat to make updated designs for the manga. The show did very well and even received confirmation of a second season (which was very rare for the studio).

The limited edition release from Viz Media contains the entire first season in English & Japanese audio with unlockable English subtitles. The set also includes 6 bonus OVAs on the Blu-ray discs. The discs are region locked to A and 1 only, as Viz only have US/CA rights to the show. KAZE have the UK & European rights for those wondering.

The physical contents exclusive to the limited edition include a chipboard box and 6 artcards which can be used as the front cover of the set (the front side of the box includes a cut-out part to view the artcards).

Plot Synopsis (via Viz Media):
Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special” training, though, he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch, and it turns out that being devastatingly powerful is actually kind of a bore. With his passion for being a hero lost along with his hair, yet still faced with new enemies every day, how much longer can he keep it going?
