Unboxing [JP]: Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories (PS3)

My recent haul from Solaris Japan once again hits some unfortunate situations. My copy of Another Century's Episode R got mixed up with a different item (Capcom's Strider remake) but I got Gundam Side Stories at least correctly.

Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories (機動戦士ガンダム サイドストーリーズ) is an action game released by Bandai Namco that came out in 2014. This is an interesting release as it's a mix between a compilation of games and a remake of sorts. The main base of the package is Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link and then you have the rest which are revamped versions of previous Gundam games:

Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: The Blue Destiny (1996 - Sega Saturn)
Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Space, To the End of a Flash (2003 - PlayStation 2)
Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise From The Ashes (1999 - Dreamcast)
Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front (2001 - PlayStation 2)
Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space (2003 - PlayStation 2)
Mobile Suit Gundam: Lost War Chronicles (2002 - PlayStation 2)
Mobile Suit Gundam: Cross Dimension 0079 (1995 - Super Famicom ~ second half only)

Some of these games did get released in the west back on their original platforms but the collection itself was released only in Japan. Gundam at the time was 'dead' for the west so there were no localisation stuff planned whatsoever though it did get a release in Asia. It's worth noting that this is one of the weaker Gundam games released on the PS3 (the other was Target in Sight) but the price was cheap enough for me to consider picking it up regardless.

Format: PlayStation 3
Version: Japan
Exclusive: Yes
Local Players: 1
Online Players: 0
Resolution: 480p/720p
HDD Space: 2222MB
Trophies: Yes

Gundam games in general are import friendly aside from the dialogue and menus. Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories is available to own digitally and physically in Japan. I bought the game pre-owned on Solaris Japan but new/sealed copies are also available. It's also available on Play Asia as well.
