Unboxing [US]: Gargantia of the Verdurous Planet - Complete Series: Collector's Edition (BD/DVD)

It's time to start collecting Viz Media sets. So I started off with their latest release given the Collector's Edition treatment - Gargantia!

Gargantia of the Verdurous Planet [Suisei no Gargantia] has been on my watch list for quite sometime and I actually didn't realise it was available on Crunchyroll for the UK since Viz Media obtained the rights (they usually block off the UK as a result for many shows with Bleach and Naruto being the exceptions). It also has Gen Urobuchi involved which makes the show getting my attention even further. Only one season aired in addition to a bunch of OVAs on-going so the franchise isn't done yet. This release from Viz Media (USA) contains all of the main episodes, the 2 OVAs released prior to Autumn 2014 and all of the specials released from the Japanese Blu-ray Boxes (which also contain English subtitles).

The set is part of Viz Media's Collector's Editions where it comes in a chipboard artbox with one standard Blu-ray case (two Blu-ray discs and two DVD discs) and an artbook. The discs are Region Locked to A and 1 so only US players or multi-regional players can watch the show on their system. Viz Media titles have locked subtitles (licensing reasons) during playback.
