Unboxing [UK]: Gal*Gun: Double Peace - Limited Edition (Vita)

Despite ordering the PlayStation 4 version, Rice Digital instead sent me the PlayStation Vita version and considering both were the exact same price and it's bank holiday weekend I decided there was no point in trying to wait and contact support. It's PQube's fault for making the packaging identical anyway to cause such a confusion (Marvelous did the same with Senran Kagura Estival Versus, which I also ended up with the wrong version).

Gal*Gun: Double Peace is an on-rails first person shooter sequel to Gal*Gun, where you essentially shoot every anime girl on-screen trying to ask you out before their love kills you. The first game became somewhat infamous as the concept was so silly it even got parodied by No Game No Life. The sequel made it to the west on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita by UK publisher PQube without any cuts or censorship. The PS4 version offers 1080p 60fps while the Vita version offers normal resolution and a broken frame rate.

I'm going to make this clear, if you want to play this game I highly suggest you acquire the PlayStation 4 version instead. The Vita version suffers from poor frame rate issues and long loading screens which is disappointing because if those issues weren't there the game would have been a great fit for the device. The good news is that if you do end up with the Vita version there is cross-save support so that you can transfer the save to the PlayStation 4 version and vice versa, plus all downloadable content is cross-buy so DLC costumes will carry over through both versions. Unfortunately the PlayStation Vita TV is not supported due to the touch-screen mechanic (likewise for some reason the PS4 version doesn't support the Move controller).

The limited edition from PQube offers an artbook and a physical copy of the game (which is also standalone). The artbook contains a good amount of content include character designs, storyboards, concept art and more. There is also a download code for extra costumes but unfortunately the code expired in July 2017. The European PlayStation version doesn't have the X-Ray DLC due to Sony Europe not getting the joke behind it.

Format: PlayStation Vita (also available on PlayStation 4 & Steam)
Version: UK/Europe
Exclusive: Yes (Console Exclusive)
Local Players: 1
Online Players: 0
PlayStation TV: No
HDD Space: 1024MB
Trophies: Yes

The trophies list is the same one for both the PS4 & Vita versions so there's no stacking unless you import the North American or Japanese versions.

You can pick up Gal*Gun: Double Peace really cheap however I presume the stock will probably be low at this point. Gal*Gun: Double Peace is available on PlayStation 4 and Vita from PQube.
