Unboxing [US]: Strike Witches - Season 1 (BD/DVD)

Apologises for the delay, the almighty Customs/Tax delayed my packages. So here's the first season of Strike Witches before it went to the Super Amazing Value Edition. This version was released back in July 2012.

As usual, I have never seen the series before so I am excited to add them to my collection, thus the War of Pants commences! This product contains the first season of Strike Witches as a Blu-ray & DVD combo pack. The first 12 episodes are spread across two Blu-ray and DVD discs (8 & 4 for BD, 7 & 5 for DVD). The release used to come with a slip-cover but since the title is quite old there wasn't one with my copy, it doesn't matter though considering it's going to be placed in an artbox.

Plot:

The year is 1944 and the world lives in fear of unidentified flying objects called Neuroi. With the old-boy old guard unable to thwart this deadly menace, humanity turns its desperate eyes to an aerial attack force with much nicer legs. Meet the girls of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, better known as the Strike Witches. These darlings of the great blue yonder may not have standard-issue uniforms, but they do have all the right stuff. Where the average flyboy falters, these dolls blast aliens to bits in the bat of an eyelash. With a little magic and a whole lot of leg, the girls of the 501st are winning the war on pants, and aliens!
