Industry News: Sentai Filmworks October 2018 Release Slate

Every anime released on Blu-ray this month is getting an English dub! Surprising.

Unboxing [UK]: Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin I-IV: Chronicle of Char and Sayla - Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

Anime Limited's next step in the Gundam franchise after Gundam ZZ ended up being one of the more recent adaptations with the Origin prequel series.

Unboxing [UK]: Rokka -Braves of the Six Flowers- - Complete Series: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

Pony Canyon have been an on-going issue over in the United States in terms of anime releases, but thankfully one of their titles has managed to reach the UK as a cheaper alternative, heck it even has an English dub available exclusively with this release!

Unboxing [UK]: Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- - Part 1: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

One of the most popular anime series from 2016 is finally making its way to home video. Both the UK & US were released at the same time so I went for the UK release.

Unboxing [UK]: Animerama: A Thousand & One Nights and Cleopatra - Limited Edition (Blu-ray) [NSFW]

Last year we saw the release of Belladonna of Sadness making its way to the UK on Blu-ray, restored after being lost for many years. This year the remaining films in the Animerama trilogy are back, restored and also available on Blu-ray for the first time from the folks at Third Window Films.

This release is noted as a limited edition with 2000 units available. It is also worth noting that due to the artwork presented this is not safe for work so bare that in mind.

Industry News: Crunchyroll x Funimation September 2018 Release Slate

Funimation brings us another big batch of anime including a new line of re-releases presumably replacing the S.A.V.E. editions called 'Essentials'. Also we have a few fan favourites of 2017 finally making a release.

UPDATE: This release slate has been tweaked due to changes made weeks after its reveal.

Industry News: Discotek Media August 2018 Release Slate

Discotek have revealed their next batch of titles fairly early this time around but we have some neat cult classics from the old Manga Entertainment backlog getting re-released!

This post will also cover the announcements with release dates set for August 2018.

Unboxing [UK]: Love Live! Sunshine!! - Season 1: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

Love Live! returns to the UK with Aqours taking over the scene! While Funimation went with the standard only route, Anime Limited are offering a 500 unit collector's edition set.

Unboxing [UK]: Lupin the Third Part IV: The Italian Adventure - Complete Series (Japanese Broadcast Version): Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

Lupin and his crew make a return to the UK with Part IV, but this release is a unique one thanks to TMS. While Discotek are releasing the English/Italian Broadcast first, Anime Limited will be releasing the Japanese Broadcast Version first.

Unboxing [UK]: Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust - Collector's Edition (BD/DVD)

The first of many titles from Anime Ltd's batch of titles released throughout May & June are slowly cropping up. Of course this particular title was released early for others I ordered it at the last second so I had to wait a bit longer.
