Unboxing [US]: Baka & Test: Summon the Beasts - Season 2: Limited Edition USA (BD/DVD)

It was going but I wanted more! I now have the second season to Baka & Test, which the first season was my very first import! Released not long after the GATTAI set, here's the unboxing for the second season limited edition combo pack.

This product contains the Blu-ray release and DVD release in Standard/Limited edition, I say both because it was the only version available for customers to have which was strange but at that time the Limited Edition sets were first to start followed by the standard release. Season 2 continues the adventures of Class F and their funky avatars as they battle the other classes in their school, followed by more Hidiyoshi and deadly food.

All thirteen episodes (chronologically 14-26) through two Blu-ray discs and three DVD discs (the third disc is just extras). Funimation did have a printing issue where the second DVD had the extras art that was used for the third disc, which can confuse people. This was fixed after a recall and my set (also one of the last from Rightstuf's closeout sale) doesn't this issue, phew.

Plot:
The loveable losers of lowly Class F are back for more fun in the second season of Baka and Test – Summon the Beasts! Goofball Yoshii’s still leading his crew in Avatar battles against the brainier students in school, but the girls in Class F have grown way less concerned with improving their status on campus. Instead of moving up in the world, the girls are more interested in getting closer to the guys in the gang! Of course, some of the boys are totally oblivious to the romantic intentions of their female friends. That’s to be expected in a group of dim-wits and misfits. Nonetheless, the femmes of Class F aren’t giving up anytime soon. Because when love is on the line, even the biggest underachievers can find motivation – even if they can’t spell it!
