K (also known as the K Project) is an original anime released during the 2012 season and was handled by studio GoHands (Coppelion, Mardock Scramble Film Trilogy). The show ended up gaining some popularity, providing prequel and spinoff light novel/manga works (even a visual novel still in production) while also gaining a theatrical film (K: Missing Kings).
This show is also in the Shojo demographic (like Shonen but the target audience is for females instead) so therefore this marks the first title in my collection to be in that demographic. I also plan on getting other Shojo works at some point like Karneval (the Funimation LE set) and even the manga My Love Story, yes you heard that right.

This version I have for the show is the US Limited Edition set from Viz Media. The limited edition sets contains the entirety of Season 1 (while the set is called 'the Complete Series', a second season has been confirmed) episodes (1 to 13) on both formats, an 80 page booklet which includes episode guides, lyrics and more, and a chipboard artbox to hold everything together.
Plot Synopsis (via Back cover):
Shiro is an easygoing teenager content with just being a student - until his seemingly perfect life is halted when a bloodthirsty clan, glowing red with fire, attempts to kill him in the streets. Unbeknownst to Shiro, he is suspected of murdering a member of their clan and will need a miracle to escape their vengeance. Miraculously, a young man named Kuroh Yatogami swings in and aids Shiro in his getaway, only to reveal he's also after Shiro's life.
Now a hunted man, Shiro will have to evade the clans of seven powerful kings and desperately try to prove his innocence - before it's too late!
