The third MCM pickup is a Beez rescue title, and a surprising addition to the Anime Limited catalogue. Funimation streamed the series but never released it, so the UK is the first English territory to release the show on Blu-ray.
The Tatami Galaxy (Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei) is directed by Masaaki Yuasa (Mind Game, Ping Pong the Animation) and animated by studio Madhouse. The show is unique in a sense that the dialogue is very fast and in theory can't be translated with an English dub. It's got some great illustration art as well.
Anime Limited's release is a Collector's Edition set with all 11 episodes across 2 Blu-ray discs. Since there's no English dub (and I doubt one will be made), the show is Japanese audio with optional English subtitles. The discs are region locked to B. On-disc content includes a couple bonus features such as Title-Free Songs and even a Creator Interview which lasts nearly 20 minutes (and yes you can turn off the subs if you wish). Collector's extras include a 60 page booklet and 4 artcards with a really nice chipboard box.

Hello, are there 3 mini episodes included in this Blu-ray release?
ReplyDeleteHi there (sorry for the late response), they aren't included in this release unfortunately. Only the commercials/promo, textless songs and the interview.
