The prequel movie trilogy has concluded in Japan and Aniplex of America are putting them out film by film. Here is the second film in the trilogy.
Kizumonogatari is a 2016-17 movie trilogy from studio SHAFT based on the novel written by NisiOisiN. Kizumonogatari is the second novel in the Monogatari franchise and the prequel to every Monogatari arc so far, taking place before the events of Bakemonogatari and Nekomonogatari Black.
The arc was initially going to be one single film but it disappeared for a couple of years until suddenly being re-announced in late 2015 as a movie trilogy. Nekketsu is the second part of the trilogy and was released in Japan on August 19th 2016.
This release is from Aniplex of America and has been packaged similarly to the Monogatari series: Second Season sets but with some tweaks. The box is better packaged than the previous arcs so it's not too flimsy than the usual. In addition the SRP is $89.98 which is very steep and I suspect this is because of the original soundtrack inclusion. Like the other arcs, Kizumonogatari is Japanese audio with English subtitles only - there will be no English dub to this franchise whatsoever. The Blu-ray is region free and has unlockable subtitles.
Oddly enough there's no Aniplex proof of purchase card this time around.

Here are the photos of the main box (with and without the plastic wrapping). At least the info sheet fits inside the case and works as a good spine cover.
And here are the photos for the main set itself. The original soundtrack is housed inside the main Blu-ray case where the main film's Blu-ray disc is located. As mentioned there's no proof of purchase card which is bizarre.

Is the artist for "étoile et toi" officially known as CLEMENTINE or Clémentine in the ENG ver?
ReplyDeleteInteresting question. In the Aniplex booklet it's listed as Clémentine, and when I added the OST to iTunes it's set to Japanese (クレモンティーヌ) which translates to Clémentine. Hope this helps.
