Unboxing [US]: Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls - Complete Series: Limited Edition (BD/DVD) [NSFW]

Sentai Filmworks' latest limited edition release has apparently broken pre-order records to the point where it's basically out of print. Never underestimate the power of monster girls.

Due to how Sentai went all out on the series, this unboxing is Not Safe For Work. There's a lot of fanservice with this set.

Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls (Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou) is a 2015 series based on the manga of the same name written & drawn by Takemaru Inui. The anime adaptation was adapted by studio Lerche with Toho Animation handling the Japanese license.

MonMusu, the short name for the series, ended up becoming one of the most popular titles of 2015 and it was enough to warrant an English dub by Sentai and even a special limited edition release. The limited edition release was pushed back a month due to high record breaking sales and production issues, which has been becoming the norm for Sentai in recent releases. The discs for the standard and limited edition release are the exact same, so nothing is lost if you only pursue the standard edition.

This limited edition release contains a rather raunchy chipboard box that folds out into a massive pair of breasts. Not going to lie, it is quite tedious getting the box closed due to the fold out design behind it and it's thanks to the obi that it's able to stay closed. Inside the box there are three cases (Blu-ray, DVD, and Soundtrack), a mini-booklet, a bunch of artcards and another small box containing a poster inside. The cases also contain a couple static clings and a lenticular card.

Now you must be wondering yourselves, what's on the discs. The discs include all 12 episodes, the 2 OVAs released later on in November 2016 and April 2017, all 60 of the Monster WEB shorts, and a ton of extra features like music videos, Japanese promos & commercials, and textless songs. So much content with this release that Sentai had to put them out across 3 Blu-ray discs and 4 DVD discs rather than 2 and 3 respectively. Speaking of the Monster WEB shorts, there are 60 in total and they're split into 6 at a time on the pop-up menu. Each 6 shorts lasts about 30 seconds so that's around 34 minutes of run-time.

Both formats contain English & Japanese audio with English subtitles as well as locked subtitles. The Blu-rays are also geo-locked, which will work on players set to United States and any PlayStation 3-4 & Xbox One devices.

Plot Synopsis (via Sentai):
No one expected the government to suddenly acknowledge the existence of demi-human species like harpies and centaurs, but when a careless Integration Agent shows up on Kimihito Kurusu's doorstep with an attractive Lamia in tow, he suddenly finds himself designated as a "Host Family". This might not be so bad, except that while Miia's top half is all girl and quickly develops a crush on her new human host, her snakelike bottom half makes that crush literal with a tendency to squeeze the life out of him! Plus, there's also the little problem that it's illegal for humans and non-humans to have THOSE kinds of relationships.

With woman-in-black Agent Smith always sniffing about for improprieties, things only get more hectic in the Kurusu household when bird-brained Papi the harpy and master-seeking centaur Centorea need places to roost and stable. As the house gets crowded with even more captivating cuties, can any human male survive under such tempestuous and tempting conditions?
