Industry News: Crunchyroll x Funimation March 2018 Release Slate

March brings us more Crunchyroll backlog including the popular comedy series Gintama and also the most infamous anime of Winter 2017.

The March 2018 release slate features the following:

 - 1 limited edition set

 - 5 Crunchyroll licensed titles

 - 5 Funimation licensed titles

Due to the constant confusion over what regions the shows are exactly, I've added a 'Regions (not final)' note for the select Crunchyroll titles. The others I can expect to be completely region locked otherwise.

Fairy Tail fans will be pleased to hear that both Zero and the second film Dragon Cry are now finally heading to home video, just in time for the show's final season planned. Both are combo packs and also use Black-borders for the top part that notes the disc format. Zero will also be separate from the Part collections.

From Crunchyroll we have some Gintama with the first half of the show's third series getting a release. While Sentai had the first 1/4 of the first series, Crunchyroll have series 3 onwards in terms of licensing and was even given an English dub. Crunchyroll are also distributing Bungo Stray Dogs Season 1 with both a standard and limited edition set, which is the only title getting a special edition for the month of March. There's also Chaos;Child, Hand Shakers and Kiss Him Not Me getting standard releases with English dubs and Blu-ray releases.

From Funimation there's more D.Gray-Man with Season 4's first half (with just one more set left before catching up to D.Gray-Man Hallow) on DVD, Trickster's second half, and the second season of Tales of Zestiria the X.

No titles this month are subtitled only.
