Industry News: Sentai Filmworks May 2018 Release Slate

For this month's release slate we have some more DanMachi goodness!

As a brief reminder, there will be no DVD versions for any brand new releases and re-releases. To ensure consistency select titles that have sequel contents (whether it's a second series or a second film) will keep the DVD option for now.

So the highlight of the month is DanMachi aka Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? with the OVA surprisingly getting a release (giving us hope for other titles to receive standalone OVA releases if possible) and the spin-off Sword Oratoria also coming out in the same month. I enjoyed watching the first season so I'll be getting both of them. Also worth noting is that the OVA release does include the original soundtrack.

Atom: The Beginning and the third season of RIN-NE receive the subtitled only treatment. Atom I guess I'm not surprised but disappointing nonetheless. RIN-NE was expected given the previous seasons have received no dub at all.

And last but not least we have a Maiden Japan release. Yona Yona Penguin is a 2009 film from studio Madhouse and will also be given an English dub as well. I'm curious about this one as I literally have never heard of this anime until now.
