More anime arrived and the one of them is the start of the final season of Shana. Here's a look at what Shakugan no Shana Final Part 1's limited edition set has to offer.
Shakugan no Shana Season 3 (also known as Shakugan no Shana Final) is the conclusion to the Shana anime franchise (which adapts the light novels) and is set after the events of Shana S: OVA (which I have yet to pick up). I enjoyed Season 1 and still progressing through Season 2 so it will be a while until I watch this season. The reason for picking up this set right now is due to the possibility of this season ending up on the S.A.V.E. line, which I am no fan of. Season 2's S.A.V.E. was bland so I took my chances and got the original sets before they went out of print. Funimation have yet to unveil whether Season 3 will get re-released so I used this moment to its advantage.
Just to point something out, my set got some slight damage due to the delivery. That's what happens when you use Amazon Marketplace.
Unlike Season 2, the third season was released in standard and limited versions, the one I picked up is the Limited Edition. This set contains the first half of Season 3 on Blu-ray and DVD with some standard extras like opening/closing animations and Funimation commentaries. The Blu-ray and DVD have locked subtitles and are also region locked to A and 1.
