Unboxing [US]: Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero - Complete Series: Limited Edition (BD/DVD)

Another older Funimation limited edition set arrives in my collection, and it's actually going out of print fairly soon which is something. Took 2 weeks to arrive through United Publications.

Here's an overview for what the set has to offer.

Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, also known as Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica, is a light novel series adapted into an anime by studio Arms (Elfen Lied, Genshiken) which aired during the Summer 2012 season. The show has been given some controversial feedback regarding the main character and how he treats other female characters (some consider him to be a bit 'rapey'), heck Anime News Network actually stated the show 'definitely made me feel uncomfortable' which funny enough Funimation used as an advantage to sell the series. However besides the negative notes, the show is still has a fanbase who enjoy the story and its source material.

The Blu-ray Limited Edition set offers all 12 episodes across two slim cases; all housed in a chipboard artbox. While the info sheet states regions A and B, the second disc has a technical glitch (similar to Aria the Scarlet Ammo) which makes the disc region locked to A only. The DVDs are unaffected and will work on regions 1, 2 & 4. Audio options include the original Japanese language and an English dub with locked subtitles.

Plot Synopsis (via Funimation):
After saving a fairy-tale kingdom, Akatsuki returns to the real world with his prize: Miu, the busty daughter of the defeated Demon King. It's one hell of a happy ending until they're forced to enroll at a school for magic users. There, Akatsuki can't keep his hands off the girls, Miu's constantly ballooning measurements make her a walking wardrobe malfunction, and it seems like someone is always plotting against them.
