Unboxing [US]: Last Exile -Fam, the Silver Wing- - Part 2 (BD/DVD)

Back in November 2013 I picked up the first half of Last Exile -Fam, the Silver Wing-, it was during the time that I focused solely on Funimation's Limited Edition sets so I didn't prioritise on the second half at all. Now fast forward to January 2016 and I finally have the second half.

Here's a look at what Part 2 has to offer.

Last Exile -Fam, the Silver Wing- is the second season to Last Exile and is generally considered to be a different series rather than a continuation (it's the same universe but with a different cast of characters and setting basically). This second half concludes the events that transpired in the first half of the series. Like Eureka Seven AO, the fans of the first series didn't like how -Fam, the Silver Wing- turned out but I think it works as a separate thing entirely.

This Part 2 release from Funimation contains the remaining episodes in the series with episodes 12-21 as well as the OVA (advertised as Bonus Episode) across 2 Blu-ray discs and 2 DVD discs. The OVA itself (Episode 15.5) is a recap that explains the events that happened in the first series. Both the Blu-ray and DVD are Region A and 1 only, effectively meaning they're region locked. In addition the Blu-ray discs have locked subtitles while the DVDs are unlockable.

Plot Synopsis (via Funimation):

Years ago, humanity abandoned the ruined Earth. Generations later, with the planet again capable of sustaining life, mankind returned.
