Unboxing [US]: Sekirei - Complete Series: Anime Classics (BD/DVD)

Much like the Fullmetal Alchemist series back in 2016, another Aniplex title licensed by Funimation has officially gone out of print as the license had expired. I was lucky enough to be able to find a copy on Rightstuf after my original Amazon order never dispatched due to the stock.

Sekirei is an ecchi show from Aniplex and studio Seven Arcs based on the manga of the same name. The anime received two season which are included in this set (the second season is called Sekirei: Pure Engagement). However the second season apparently ended up in non-canon territory so as a result the anime's chances of a third season vanished but it still didn't stop the US folks who enjoyed the show.

This release from Funimation is the Anime Classics edition. The Anime Classics line is basically a special cover on the slipcover and spine which matches for each show but will annoy collector's who want a clean spine. The discs are the same as previous releases so the regions are A and B for Blu-ray and 1 for DVD. The subtitles are locked and the audio options are English & Japanese with English subtitles. The OVAs are included with this release.

Plot Synopsis (via Funimation):
Minato had no luck with the ladies until the day a well-rounded warrior-babe named Musubi fell into his life - and crushed his face with her ginormous cleavage. Hunted by a stunning pair of twin sisters, Musubi was searching for the right guy to give her a squeeze and unlock the hidden powers lurking beneath her ample assets. Minato fits the bill, and now he's caught in the middle of a supernatural slugfest in which voluptuous vixens take turns beating each others' clothes off!
