I went to MCM Birmingham once again and have come back with a couple more titles. I have decided to venture into the Funimation UK catalogue and bought a few of the titles available.
Mikagura School Suite is a 2015 anime adaptation of the novel of the same name from studio Doga Kobo and published by Kadokawa Pictures. I did watch the first four episodes a while back but I never managed to finish it off, so when I saw the set for £20 I decided to pick it up.
This is a Funimation title for the UK so it's tweaked slightly compared to the North American version. For starters the UK set doesn't come with a slipcover and the BBFC is on the cover art. The inside contents does offer a reversible cover. The 12 episode series comes with both an English dub and original Japanese audio with English subtitles. The regions for this set are B|2 only with NTSC DVDs, which differs to the US version which is A|B|1|2|4. In addition the subtitles are locked.

Plot Synopsis (via Funimation):
Eruna Ichinomiya has no desire to focus on what high school to pick. She'd rather spend her time chasing after pretty girls or playing dating sims. After all, when the only job you want is to watch TV all day, who cares what school you attend? But when her cousin Shigure Ninomiya shows her the pamphlet to Mikagura Academy, Eruna finds her picture-perfect reason to go to high school: the beautiful Seisa Mikagura.
After a bizarre entrance exam and interview with a flying, talking cat, it's clear that Mikagura is not a typical high school. Students are focused more on clubs, battles, and their special magical attacks instead of regular studies. And if Eruna wants to win over the cool, powerful Seisa, she's got to join a club and hone her own special attack. But that's easier said than done. Especially when there are so many cute girls to distract her!
