Unboxing [JP]: Another Century's Episode: R (PS3)

We have ourselves another import order, except this game was supposed to arrive last month but got misplaced with Strider Hiryu instead. Thanks to my recent order on Gundam UC I was able to receive this game alongside it.

Another Century's Episode: R (アナザーセンチュリーズエピソードR) is an action mecha crossover game from FROM SOFTWARE and Banpresto with Bandai Namco publishing the game. FROMSOFTWARE are known for the Dark Souls & King's Field franchises while Banpresto are known for the Super Robot Wars franchise.

Like Super Robot Wars this game features a number of anime mecha franchises in one game. The franchises included are as follows:

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2
Full Metal Panic!
Genesis of Aquarion
Macross Zero
Macross Frontier
Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Overman King Gainer
Super Dimension Century Orguss
Super Robot Wars Original Generation

Much like the other titles in this series, the game never made it to the west and that is usually down to licensing reasons especially with Macross which is currently still under a mess thanks to Harmony Gold.

Format: PlayStation 3
Version: Japan
Exclusive: Yes
Local Players: 1
Online Players: 0
Resolution: 480p/720p
HDD Space: 2956KB (Save Data)
Trophies: Yes

The game is import friendly thanks to the action mecha combat however like Gundam the dialogue and menus are in Japanese. Another Century's Episode: R is available to own in retail form in Japan. I bought the game pre-owned on Solaris Japan but new/sealed copies are also available. It's also available on Play Asia as well.
