Unboxing [UK]: Kill la Kill - Box #3: Collector's Edition w/First Print Box (Blu-ray)

So Kill la Kill's final part was released early for MCM Comic Con London May 2015 and I managed to get a copy of this release with the exclusive tote bag that was part of the deal at the Anime Limited booth. Here's an overview of the final part with the first print collector's box that can fit all three parts together.

If you've read my Box #1 and Box #2 posts, you should know what this series is all about already as we are now in the final battle in the world of Kill la Kill. For some reason the final episodes reminds me of Evangelion.

The version I have for the show is the UK Collector's Edition set from Anime Limited. This is the third and final box from the distributor. Due to licensing restrictions and reverse importations, Anime Limited were only able to release the set into three parts in collector's pricing, and they could only use the Key Art Collection and Storyboard art-books from the Japanese Blu-ray volumes, because the soundtrack and Trigger Interviews were exclusive to the Aniplex of America sets. Standard editions for all three parts of the series will be available at reasonable prices later in the year (and next year depending if delays will happen).

This third set contains the remaining episodes of the series (Episodes 20 to 24), the OVA (Episode 25) and some extra features including clean opening and endings and some others. The artbook for this set is based on the Key Art Collection from the fourth and fifth Japanese volumes.

Unlike Box #2, this set is frickin tight. They reduced the size of the set since it's only one disc instead of two and with my copy it's very hard to get the contents out of the box. Anime Limited are aware of this issue and have managed to fix it for the retail release date, some copies from MCM may be affected by this issue. Oh and despite what the mini-slipcover states, my discs are Blu-ray and not DVD.
