Unboxing [US]: Baka & Test: Summon the Beasts - OVA Collection (BD/DVD)

Time to complete the Baka & Test collection with the OVA Special set.

Baka & Test is a comedy show about a group of students in Class F doing whatever it takes to achieve victory. While I have already shown off the first season and second season, this collection takes place between the two seasons.

The Funimation release contains the English and Japanese audio with optional English subtitles (not locked) for the Japanese version. The only version that I picked up is the standard Blu-ray and DVD combo pack. The single Blu-ray case contains 1 DVD disc and 1 Blu-ray disc, in addition to a reversible cover.

Anime Summary:
Class F is back in the Baka and Test – Summon the Beasts: OVA Special Collection! Fumizuki Academy’s popular Refreshing Festival is quickly approaching, and the student body is busy prepping class projects. For Yoshii and the gang, there’s a lot more at stake than showing off for campus visitors. If Class F doesn’t profit from its festival project and buy some new gear for its dumpy room, Mizuki’s parents are going to send her to another school! Of course, even if the slack pack makes some money, they’ll have to win one of the toughest Summoner Test Wars of their lives before they’re allowed to spend it. It’s not going to be easy, that’s for sure. But once the underachievers of Class F get motivated, they don’t give up – and they can’t even spell surrender!

Extras (On-Disc):
OVA 1 Split: Hideyoshi Kinoshita, Mizuki Himeji & Minami Shimada
OVA 2 Split: Ending
Promotional Videos
Original Commercials
Textless Songs

Baka & Test is being re-released under the S.A.V.E. label from September onwards (DVD only) so copies of the OVA Collection may be low for North American owners (Funimation). The OVAs haven't been released in the UK.
